Stephanie Montaño is an attorney who litigates and counsels businesses in complex business disputes and intellectual properly matters. Ms. Montaño focuses on providing efficient solutions to businesses operating in an interconnected world through her experience in litigation, intellectual property and brand management, international law, and business and human rights.
Ms. Montaño is currently working in Nairobi, Kenya with the Institute for Human Rights and Business (IHRB) to address human rights challenges alongside issues of transparency, accountability and environmental and social impacts through the application of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights in the extractives sector in Kenya. The Nairobi Process: A Pact for Responsible Business aims to contribute to a more sustainable and equitable extractive sector in East Africa. Prior to joining IHRB, Ms. Montaño was an associate in Venable LLP's Los Angeles, Commercial Litigation group.
