Ms. DeArmas earned her J.D. in 2000 at Southwestern University School of Law School in Los Angeles, California. She was the Chair and Board Member for Public Interest Law Committee from 1997-1999, where she helped raise money to fund pro-bono legal services for the Los Angeles community. As a member of the Moot Court Team, she was a National Best Brief Award winner and a Best Oralist Finalist at the University of North Carolina Craven Memorial Constitutional Law Competition in 1999.

Lourdes DeArmas is an Attorney at AlderLaw representing plaintiffs in catastrophic personal injury, premises liability, and wrongful death cases.

Prior to joining AlderLaw in 2016, Ms. DeArmas represented clients in a variety of cases from contractual disputes, class actions, consumer rights, hospitality injury, amusement park injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death litigation, catastrophic personal injury, insurance bad faith, copyright infringement, and educational fraud. Most notably, Ms. De Armas represented over 800 inmates of the California Department of Corrections in cases involving inadequate medical care and treatment. She also represented over 22 named plaintiffs and a certified class of former students alleging that the post-secondary school violated the California's Education Code and consumer protection laws by falsely claiming that school was accredited. The case culminated in a multi-million dollar settlement. Ms DeArmas also represented a client in an amusement park injury case that resulted in a design change in the ride. The case resulted in a confidential settlement.
