After completing her duties as the 2008-2009 president of the 2,800-member Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, Amy Fisch Solomon has turned her attention back to trial work. She currently heads up the Yaz and Yasmin litigation for her firm, representing more than 500 women in the massive tort action against Bayer Pharmaceuticals Corp., who have suffered heart attacks, strokes and blood clots allegedly due to using the birth control drug. She is co-lead counsel in the California statewide coordinated cases, pending in Los Angeles County Superior Court. She also is on the plaintiffs’ steering committee of the national multidistrict litigation pending in the Southern District of Illinois. Additionally, Solomon serves as a mediator, arbitrator and early neutral evaluator for the Los Angeles County Superior Court’s ADR panel and is pro bono counsel for Loyola Law School’s Cancer Legal Resource Center.
