This year’s Annual Litigators Forum is a half-day program that will focus on unconscious biases encountered by women and minority litigators, the manifestation and impact of these biases and assumptions both inside and outside the courtroom, and solutions for addressing and eliminating them. The program will include two panel discussions. The first panel – “Bias in the Courtroom” – will discuss the biases and assumptions faced by female and minority attorneys in the courtroom. Panel members will include jury consultants, judicial educators and a judge. The second panel – “Master Women Litigators” – will feature four top female litigators who will share their personal experiences of achieving professional success in the face of the perceived limits placed upon female litigators. Stand Out! is a conference for law students and junior attorneys focusing on the skills and knowledge these new lawyers need to distinguish themselves and succeed in the profession. With three days of programming for students and two days of programming for practitioners, the conference is our most ambitious yet.
