WLALA Mentoring Opportunities
Remember what it was like to be a new attorney, just starting out? Was there someone who provided you with guidance and helped you navigate your way? January is National Mentoring Month! Help make a positive impact on someone’s career by attending one of WLALA’s mentoring dinners.
WLALA hosts mentoring circle dinners each month. These dinners bring together junior and “seasoned” women lawyers for a night of lively discussion and mentoring. Whether you’re looking for advice, an opportunity to commiserate, or just some casual conversation with fellow WLALA members, these dinners are the perfect setting.
The locations alternate monthly between downtown and the Westside. You can find us downtown the second Wednesday of February, April, June, August, October and December at California Pizza Kitchen in the Wells Fargo Center at 6:30 p.m. In the alternate months, look for us at 7:00 pm every second Tuesday of the month at Louise’s Trattoria on Pico Boulevard just east of Overland. Parking is convenient and separate checks are provided, so you can stay as long or leave as early as you like.
All lawyers are welcome. If you’re a law student in need of mentoring, though, we ask that, instead of attending one of these dinners, you contact Krysta Kauble Pachman or Jessica Kronstadt, Co-Chairs of the WLALA Law Student Mentoring Committee. Krysta and Jessica will gladly match you with an attorney mentor. Krysta can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org. Jessica can be reached at email@example.com.
Please RSVP in advance so that we can manage the reservation number. Also, if you have any questions about the mentoring circle dinners or have a suggestion for a topic of discussion, please feel free to contact Career Mentoring Committee Co-Chairs Jeanne “Gigi” Wanlass (Westside dinners) at firstname.lastname@example.org or Cathy Ostiller (downtown dinners) at email@example.com. We hope to see you at the next dinner!
