2012 LACBA-WLALA Joint Task Force Event

On May 10, 2012, the LACBA-WLALA Joint Task Force on the Retention and Promotion of Women will present Law and Reorder:  Opportunities and Challenges in a Changing Legal Landscape. The objective of this event is to have a candid and invigorating conversation on the future of the profession with industry leaders. 

The program will feature Rachel F. Moran, UCLA Law School Dean, Katherine Adkins, Vice-President and General Counsel of Toyota Financial Services, Lucinda Starrett, Partner at Latham & Watkins LLP, and Deborah Epstein Henry, President of international consulting firm Flex-Time Lawyers LLC.  Debbie's firm is known for running Best Law Firms for Women with Working Mother magazine – a national survey to select the top 50 law firms for women and report on industry trends. The program will be moderated by David Houston, Editor of the Los Angeles Daily Journal.  Similar programs have been presented in 13 cities and have received rave reviews.

All attendees will receive a complimentary copy of the book, Law & Reorder:  Legal Industry Solutions for Restructure, Retention, Promotion & Work/Life Balance (ABA, 2010), the #1 best selling ABA Flagship book for 2011.  Author Debbie Epstein Henry will sign the books at the end of the program.

The program will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Latham & Watkins LLP, located at 355 S. Grand Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90071. The cost is $40 for LACBA or WLALA Members; $60 for Non-members; and $35 for Students, Public Interest, Government, and Solo Practitioners.  A light dinner will be provided.  RSVP is requested by May 3, 2012.
