Set aside your favorite cocktail attire, the WLALApalooza silent auction and cocktail party is just around the corner on June 11. You won’t want to leave behind your colleagues and friends either because this will be a fun night to remember for a great cause. WLALA’s largest fundraising event of the year features a robust silent auction. You can bid on gift certificates to restaurants, gyms, theatre and photography, as well as baskets for the golf, coffee or wine enthusiasts, and don’t pass by the original art, jewelry, and kids toys. In addition to the silent auction, in the grand prize raffle drawing you could win box office tickets to a thrilling event, Disneyland tickets, His and Her's fashion accessories, and more. While you peruse the offerings, enjoy complimentary hors d'oeuvres - a made-to-order pasta bar and a Mediterranean table – and cocktails. All the while take in the magnificent Jonathan Club and mingle with 200 members of the legal community.
Have no fear of winning too many auction and raffle items. For the first time this year, each attendee will receive a re-usable check-out bag to help carry home the spoils. Our generous sponsors will be showcased on the check-out bag, in the auction booklet, and at the event.
The work of WLALA and the WLALA Foundation would not be possible without the generous contribution of WLALApalooza sponsors and supporters. We are actively seeking firms, companies, and individuals like you to sponsor the event and help us meet our goal. Please consider sponsorship today (contact Kay at email@example.com).
Proceeds from WLALApalooza support WLALA’s operations and further WLALA’s work to advance women in the legal profession and society. Proceeds also support the WLALA Foundation’s projects, including: (1) scholarships and public interest grants, to provide financial assistance to deserving law students (2) the Domestic Violence Project; (3) the History Project, which chronicles the history of female legal trailblazers to ensure that we never forget our profession’s history of gender discrimination (4) the Harriet Buhai Center for Family Law; and (5) the Downtown Women’s Center, a homeless shelter and provider of transitional housing for women on Skid Row.
