President's Message - MARCH
Anne C. Tremblay
WLALA President 2013-2014
"If particular care and attention is not paid to the ladies,
we are determined to foment a rebellion and will not hold ourselves bound by
any laws in which we have no voice or representation."
---Abigail Adams, U.S. First Lady,
March is Women’s History
Month. The work of WLALA and the WLALA
Foundation celebrate the history of women’s advancement in our profession at
the same time our members continue to make history here in Los Angeles. On March 18th, WLALA along with
our sister organizations, Black Women Lawyers (BWL) and Latina Lawyers Bar
Association (LLBA), will host a mixer at Taix Restaurant. This event presents the opportunity to meet
new friends, share our experiences and get inspired by the life and career of
our speaker, the Hon. Consuelo Marshall. Please join us as we toast to our history and
our future as women lawyers.
Other WLALA programs set for March
include our Westside Mentoring Circle Dinner on March 11th, WLALA
Night at the Magic Castle on March 12th and our Mock Interview event
for law students on March 25th.
Read more about these events in this month’s newsle
