Arezou Kohan, Esq. CPCC (Are-reh-zoo Co-hen) is an author, coach, speaker, and trainer. She helps lawyers implement systems and elevates them to the next stage of their practice. A former litigator, she intimately understands the challenges that lawyers face. Arezou cut her teeth on high-stakes (“bet-the-company”) multi-million dollar litigation. She started her private practice in 2004. In 2013, she integrated professional coaching. She earned her J.D. from Southwestern, where she was on both Law Review and Moot Court. She received her coaching certification from The Coaches Training Institute. Prior to practice, she externed for the Honorable Arthur L. Alarcón, Senior Judge for the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Arezou has served as a Judge Pro Tem (2008-2012) and as a Pay Panel Mediator (2009-2013) for Los Angeles County Superior Court. She is the author of Healing Conflict: How to Manage Disputes and Resolve Conflict through Higher Consciousness (Createspace 2012), and Coaching Your Client: A Lawyer's Guide for Improving Communication and Client Outcomes (ABA Publishing 2015). She regularly speaks at bar associations and is a contributor to Los Angeles Lawyer Magazine and The Los Angeles Daily Journal. She hosts a lawyers-only Facebook Group called “The Lawyer’s Den” where she gives talks, tips and tricks for a healthier, wealthier practice of law. Arezou decompresses through beach walks, yoga, cooking, and backgammon.
