Law Student Mentoring
Melissa Cerro is an Intellectual Property Associate, in-house, with Gamblit Gaming, the industry leader in bringing world class, AAA skill gaming onto casino floors. Ms. Cerro is a member of the State Bar of California and in the process of obtaining her license to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. As an IP Associate, she focuses primarily on trademark and patent prosecution, here in the United States, and coordination of both assets around the world.
Melissa graduated with Honors from UC Irvine with a degree in Political Science, from the Straus Institute with a Certificate in Dispute Resolution, and from Pepperdine School of Law, where she was the recipient of the Dean’s Merit Scholarship. While at Pepperdine, Melissa externed for Chief Judge Peter Carroll of the United States Bankruptcy Court and served as a Literary Citation Editor for The Journal of the National Association of Administrative Law Judiciary, as a member of the Moot Court team, and as President of the Women Lawyers Association.
Prior to attending law school, Melissa worked on political campaigns, including the Presidential primary and general election from 2007-2008 and the New York City Mayoral election in 2009.
Melissa currently serves as Co-Chair of the Law Student Mentoring Committee and previously server on the Financial Development Committee.
