Sara Brazao Ferreira is an associate in the real estate group in Skadden's Los Angeles office. Ms. Brazao Ferreira’s practice involves transactional real estate matters, including mezzanine and senior loan financing; acquisition and disposition of various real estate assets, including office buildings and luxury hotels and resorts; leasing transactions; and formation and dissolution of real estate-focused joint ventures. Ms. Brazao Ferreira’s pro bono engagements have included, among others, leasing for charter schools, loan refinancing for non-profit organizations, asylum cases and holocaust reparations. Prior to joining Skadden, Ms. Brazao Ferreira worked in international real estate development and sales while living in Brazil. Ms. Brazao Ferreira earned her B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College and her J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where she served as an editor on the UCLA Law Review and externed for the Honorable A. Wallace Tashima on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
