WLALA/ICLC Volunteers and Training
Helping Homeless Veterans
Please join WLALA Foundation for its first training as part of its collaboration with Inner City Law Center to help homeless veterans. Volunteers will learn how to assist women homeless veterans in applying for healthcare and disability benefits, which can help lead to stability and independent living.
The training will be held at on April 18, 2017 from 5-8p.m. at Crowell Moring (515 S. Flower St., 40th Floor, Los Angeles, CA 90071).
Volunteers will receive 3 hours of free MCLE credit, with the expectation that they will co-counsel a case on behalf of a homeless woman veteran in 2017.
Volunteers must be WLALA members, members of the State Bar, and have VA accreditation. Licensed attorneys can read and follow instructions about applying for VA accreditation by visiting: https://www.va.gov/ogc/accreditation.asp.
